HOW are PC able to play todays console games like Oblivion and
Ok I’m new to the computer gaming world. I got a computer recently, one that can play oblivion and gears of war and athe latest games. I was gonna get a 360 but with the games on PC im thinking WHY at this point.
Here is my question though . I thought PC’s could not handle the graphical power of ps3 and x box 360’s how are they able to make games that are on it and look as good almost. I thought gaming consoles were superior to pc graphic and processing wise ?
I knwo Im new to this world so please dont crucify me too badly if I was wrong about my assumption
Consoles are more powerful than your average PC…when they are released. However, computers advance rapidly and drop in price. So usually the average PC is more powerful than the consoles about 6-8 months after the console launches.
The power of consoles has always been that the games always worked. There were no hardware/software incompatabilities, because there was only one possible hardware configuration for a console. There was no way to patch the games after selling them, so developers had to make sure there weren’t any major bugs. But with modern systems, these are no longer the case.
