Do you like newspapers?

Now that we can go on line and find out all we want to know, is the paper going to even be necessary? I take the local paper sent in the mail. only to read the police notes to see which of our friends or relatives are in there, and see what they’ve done this time. oh, yea and the puzzle. But the used to be giant paper The Daily Oklahoman. has made too many enemy’s like myself. I get really tired of them throwing free samples on the porch with a card to send in postage free and subscribe. I always send them back with a request “please don’t be throwing trash in my yard.” I do enjoy reading the paper at our local coffee shop if someone has already bought and paid for the paper, just to see who they are telling their audience to vote for. I almost always vote for the other guy out of spite. Computers are a lot less garbage, requiring fewer trees to sacrifice. ha, anybody remember the Oklahoma Times? just two lines in the Oklahoma times and the guy wants more.

Yes, I do like reading my daily newspaper as I enjoy my morning cups of coffee and talking with my husband as we peruse the paper together. We talk about the local and national news, argue about our favorite sports’ teams, and reminisce about anyone we knew who is now in the obituaries.

We can share a cartoon that has “tickled our fancy”, and work the crossword puzzles together.
