I have a Laptop with a wireless card, my roommate has a PC. What is the best way to get internet access?
I would like to be able to use my laptop and he would like to use his PC. I am not in the area to receive Clearwire. What are my other options, get DSL (through BellSouth, Verizon), etc., but then how can I get a wireless signal.

Get DSL connection. Then purchase a Wireless router. It is a device that splits the internet connection into wired and wireless option. It is what i used. My brother used the Desktop and I use my laptop wirelessly. For best brand of Routers, look for Linksys name.
Make sure you grab a wireless router and not a dsl router. DSL routers only create dsl extensions. Configuring it would be easy, the CD will guide you all throughout. This what i used, their WRT54GS. I never get disconnected once i got online
