cell phone companies rip off people with internet access?
my brother got a phone 5 months back and as he understood, after a $5.99 monthly he had total internet access on it.
Of course that was not the case and he ended up being stuck with a $200+ fee for the first month and about $140 for the second before he found out that it was not the case.
He honestly thought that the salesperson had told him it was the unlimited with the monthly payment.
Personally, I can just see those salespeople being instructed by their managers to lay out that info as vaguely as possible to trap people (who are not tech savvy)with a few hundred dollars before they realize that they were mistaken. the same thing has happened to a friend a few years back.
what gives? why haven’t consumer groups stepped in to make sure that this crap doesn’t happen?
