I am trying to do a full system recovery on my laptop?
the laptop is an E-system 1412 and im using the recovery discs you make yourself. However halfway through im getting an error message saying ” Error failed to apply VISTA.WIM” please restart and try again. Ive tried it again three times and the same thing happens every time. Now if i try to start the laptop without the recovery disc in it says “BOOTMGR is missing” and it wont start. Obviously because the recovery process has started it has wiped some important files off, but because the recovery process wont finish it wont re-install them. Can anyone offer any suggestions how to repair this

Try tapping the F8 button just after switching your laptop on and you will get into a screen which gives you various options,one of which is full destructive recovery which puts your laptop into ex-factory condition.I say the F8 button-it depends on the make of your laptop because some manufacturers use a different key.My last laptop was F8 but my present one is ALT+F10.
