my car was stolen it has ignition damage n needs replaced in a single parent and need a mechanics help to fix
i need to find out where i can go on the internet or call to find out how to get help i can afford the parts but not the labor i need help me and my baby have no other available resources and our whole world and life depends on this the ignition was punched and now it is stripped and will not start ive tried but it wont start it overheated the last time it started up i tried reading the auto repair manual but im lost is there anywhate or anyone who can offer free services or any auto programs that will fix my car in a single parent on county aid i live in bellflower ca 90706 please can you help me with any and all resources you know available it’s a 95 honda civic p.s im computer illeterate and learning
As far as resources, there isn’t really anything on the net, because this is akin to medicine on-line. It is something that really requires hands-on, particularly if you are confused by the repair manual.
The only suggestion I can recommend isn’t in the automotive world.
You could check with your local BBB and see if there is a program for people in your position.
But the first place I would look would be with one of the local churches. There is undoubtedly someone in the congregation that could be of help, either showing you what has to be done, or perhaps just do it for you.
My church (a local SBC congregation) actually has a benevolence fund for exactly this sort of need.
We also have several laymen and mechanics (and shop owners) who volunteer our time and knowledge.
